My Story

Hi there, 

my name is Maxine. I am 26 years old and born & raised in a small town in Lower Saxony, Germany.  Currently, I am finishing my Master of Science in Business Administration - Leadership & Change Management at the VU Amsterdam.

After my high school graduation in 2013, a new chapter in my life began. I took a year off to do Work & Travel in Australia and New Zealand and to find out what I wanted to do after school. 

I decided to do a dual study program in Fashion Management and commuted between Berlin and Stuttgart for 3 years. This was a very intense study time with many experiences like a 5 week trip to India. It shaped my whole  journey a lot! After that, I started working as a Store Manager in Berlin but immediately knew that I had to go further. I did my Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies and lived in Dublin, Ireland for a year. After this island adventure, I settled with my boyfriend in Düsseldorf and worked there for 3 years in fashion wholesale. The corona pandemic gave me a lot to think about and finally, it motivated me again for another adventure - my Master of Science  in Amsterdam. Because I just like to work, I decided to continue working as a franchise manager for my company in Germany while I am still studying. Remote working makes it possible!

I think this quick journey through the last 10 years shows that I am an open-minded, adventurous person who likes to travel a lot and always has bumblebees up my butt. I love meeting new people and cultures and exploring them extensively. My most recent adventure was the pilgrimage of the Way of St. James from Porto to Santiago de Compostela in the summer of 2021. Definitely worth a try!

Besides my urge to always explore new things I like to be creative and have been doing theater & musicals for more than 7 years. Due to work I could not dedicate more to this passion at first and have always kept me on my toes with DIY projects.
